Treliver Minerals Ltd. takes over Saxore Bergbau GmbH

Exploration projects for tin taken to the next stage

(PresseBox) (Freiberg, )
With the inaugural visit at the the Saxon Mining Authority in December 2013, the acquisition process of Saxore Bergbau GmbH was completed by the British mineral exploration company Treliver Minerals Ltd. This new chapter in the mineral exploration in the Western Erzgebirge already started in 2010 with the issuance of exploration permits in the licence areas of Eibenstock, Kottenheide and Breitenbrunn-Indo to the Australian company Indo Gold Ltd.
The specially founded Saxore Bergbau GmbH then took over these mining rights in 2011 and started intensive studies on the tin deposits Hämmerlein and Tellerhäuser, discovered by the former state company Wismut in the 1970s. In addition, the mining regions Eibenstock and Schneckenstein were investigated in conjunction with the contracted company Beak Consultants GmbH from Freiberg/Germany.
The positive results of the conducted work led to the take-over by the British exploration company Treliver Minerals in December 2013. Treliver already owns the rights on promising tin deposits in Cornwall/UK. With this acquisition in Saxony, Treliver Minerals expands its resources stock with a large tin deposit, which is located in a politically stable and developed historic mining region with excellent infrastructure.
Extensive geological and mineralogical processing studies are planned for the coming 18 months. For example, a three-dimensional model of the deposits will be created and new boreholes will be drilled to clarify the depth range of the tin occurrences within the Eibenstock area, which have been mined in the Middle Ages. A total of at least 2 million USD will be invested (1.5 million EUR) during the mentioned period. The goal is to provide a preliminary feasibility study in 2015.
The planned work will be carried out in close cooperation and coordination with the competent and responsible local authorities and together with well-established institutes from this region: the tourist mine Zinnkammern Poehla e.V., the TU Bergakademie Freiberg, the Helmholtz Institute for Resource Technology, the company Beak Consultants GmbH and other companies.
As the Managing Directors Mark Thomson (Treliver), Andreas Barth (Saxore, Beak) , Antony Truelove (Saxore) and the Project Manager Marco Roscher (Beak)explained, they are firmly convinced to be able to take this - for the region, Saxony, Germany and Europe extremely important mineral resources project – to a success.
