24h Rennen am Nürburgring mit reinem Damenteam

Beim 24h Rennen am Nürburgring gehen der Rennstall WS Racing und Giti Tire Europa 2019 erstmals mit einem reinen Damenteam an den Start. Das Besondere: Nicht nur die Fahrerinnen, sondern alle Rollen im Team sollen weiblich besetzt werden. Die international tätige IT-Beratungsfirma bdf consultants ist vom Konzept überzeugt und unterstützt das Projekt.

Bdf-Sprecherin Nele van Leeuwen: „Motorsport und IT passen für uns hervorragend zusammen, bei beidem muss man schnell und innovativ sein, um nicht den Anschluss zu verlieren.“ Ein weiteres Argument für van Leeuwen: „Beide Disziplinen werden stark von Männern dominiert, das Projekt bietet eine tolle Möglichkeit für Frauen zu zeigen, dass das zukünftig auch in unserer Branche anders aussehen wird und muss.“  Die Teamzusammenstellung erfolgt unter anderem über ein Casting. Zu diesem können sich alle Frauen anmelden, die Interesse am Rennsport haben und eine Funktion im Team übernehmen wollen.
