For the third season, R-M, BASF Coatings paint brand and the Four Motors racing team will be pooling their talents at the racetrack. Once again, Smudo, lead singer of Germany s hit rap group "Die Fantastischen Vier" (The Fantastic Four) will be piloting the BioConcept car at the long-distance races at the Nürburgring racetrack. Team leader and former DTM pilot Tom von Loewis of Menar, the "Flying Baron", will be copiloting the car, which has been refinished with R-M paints. Thorsten Schlatmann, head of R-M Distribution, is looking forward to the 2008 racing season. "2006 and 2007 were a smashing success for R-M and Four Motors in terms of media attention, even if we didn t always manage to make it to the positions we had hoped for in every race. But for all our customers and visitors who stopped by the Nürburgring in person to experience our races, it was a one-of-a-kind experience. And our appearance together at the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt attracted worldwide attention to our joint project." The BioConcept car is a rebuilt Ford Mustang made mostly of biofibers. R-M contributed its paint competence during the coating of this raw material.

The BioConcept car will be presented at the IdeenPark of the ThyssenKrupp AG from May 17 to May 25 at the New Fair Stuttgart.
Racing, however, is the special car s main job. This year, R-M customers will have another opportunity to get to know Smudo in person. And they ll get to follow the exciting races of the German Long Distance World Championship - close to the Four Motors team and its high-profile drivers. The customers will be cheering for the eco-friendly GT RTD Mustang with the R-M racing look.
The second Four Motors car, the New Beetle racer, is ready to hit the racetrack too. The season highlight will be the 36th ADAC Zurich 24-hour race. The 3-day racing event will take place from May 22 to 25, 2008, and Four Motors is expecting big things to happen there.
