New Salcomix training program launched

International training in Münster

(PresseBox) (Münster, )
Nineteen participants from all over the world attended a new BASF Coatings training course focused on Salcomix paints and their advantages in practice. The three-day training course in Münster marked the official launch of the new training strategy of Salcomix, BASF Coatings industrial paint brand. The program uses six modules to provide everything participants need to know about the entire Salcomix range of products and services and their use in paint shops and industry. The training course targets spraypainters, sales reps, trainees, and, in some cases, distributors and importers.

BASF Coatings employees from EU countries, Russia, and South America traveled to Münster for the training. "Of course, we can just present the new Salcomix products, but using them in hands-on exercises is ten times more valuable," says Christian Strothmann, the first Salcomix Global Trainer.

The training program features lessons in spraypainting, divided into six modules. The first three modules provide the theoretical foundations, from occupational safety and the basics of the Salcomix system to hardware and software for color matching. They also include important information on pretreating and cleaning substrates such as steel and aluminum.

Modules four to six offer practical exercises. First, the participants learn about the basics, including product properties and application. The next module calls for real-life application of topcoats. After all, what better way to demonstrate the advantages and flexibility of the 18 different Salcomix topcoat systems than through hands-on practice? For the last training module, Salcomix works together with application systems manufacturers. The module is tailored to the requirements and techniques actually used in industry, so course participants learn more about typical application techniques, such as airless or double-membrane pumps.
