For Francisco Verza, head of decorative paints for BASF South America, this award is a significant recognition in the industry. "Innovation is a strong trait of Suvinil, and realizing our projects are valued gives us the certainty we are on the right way ", he says. The event has been held since 2000 and aims to award the talent of companies in the Industry, Commerce and Services and/or Equipment in the construction material sector that added to their management processes, marketing or distribution, innovations able to create benefits, such as cost reduction and rationalization. "This award also allows that positive experiences are exchanged among the companies in this industry ", adds Verza.
In June this year, Suvinil was also one of the winning companies of "Prêmio Anamaco 2007", which is aimed to encourage and recognize the activities carried out by the industries in this sector. On that occasion, Suvinil won in the category for Technological Innovation with Suvinil Quick Dry Enamel, a waterborne product for the painting or refinish on metal, wood and PVC surfaces, including aluminum and galvanized items. Among its major differentials – just to name a few - the product offers shorter drying time, low odor, resistance to weathering and protections against mould and algae. While Suvinil proved itself successful, at the beginning of this year it got complemented through Relius in the European market. In January 2007 the BASF Coatings expanded its range through the integration of Relius which is active in insulation, decorative paint for front and interior as well as coatings.
