BASF Coatings will exhibit innovative products at the "BAU 2009" trade fair, which is taking place from January 12 to 17 in Munich. At the booth of the BASF Group, BASF Coatings will present the latest developments from the areas of foil and coil coatings. The BASF trade fair booth will be located in Hall A4, Number 303.
COILTEC® UNIVERSAL P CF - chromate-free universal primer
BASF Coatings is the world's leading supplier of chromate-free primer for coil coating. Primers are used to ensure corrosion protection and optimal adhesion of the topcoat systems when coating cleaned and pretreated steel coils. The improved chromate-free universal primer COILTEC® UNIVERSAL P CF harmonizes with any pretreatment of the steel, offering better surface cover and higher eco-efficiency than its predecessor.
Brilliant colors and special effects when building

Laminate has long been considered an easy-care, affordable alternative to wood parquet floors. Thanks to intensive development in the laboratories of BASF Coatings, the alternative now has an attractive alternative of its own: floors with finish foil, that is paper coated with clearcoats (foil coatings). These floors have a noticeable advantage in comparison with laminate: due to their structure, they have a so-called warm touch.
In addition, the manufacturing of finish foil flooring saves more energy and materials than laminate.
The "BAU" trade fair
BAU is the leading trade fair in Europe for architecture, materials and systems for industrial and building construction, house construction and interior design. Every two years, the market leaders of these industries meet at the "Neue Messe" exhibition grounds in Munich. From January 12 to 17, 2009, more than 2,000 exhibitors from 40 countries will present their products in 17 exhibition halls. An attractive general program with meetings, forums, and guided tours will round off the offering. About 210,000 visitors are expected. The opening times of BAU: Monday through Friday from 9 am to 6 pm, Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm.
