Balluff optical distance sensor BOD 63M
With the BOD 63M Balluff has designed an optical distance sensor especially for industrial applications requiring long range and accuracy with simple and reliable handling. The light time-of-flight principle permits objects to be resolved down to an accuracy of 2 mm over a distance of up to 6000 mm. The red light laser beam, which remains the same size over the entire measuring range, enables simple and precise alignment even over the longest distances.
Collision guard for Balluff sensors
Balluff now offers collision protection for sensors in nearly every housing size. The collision guard withstands contact of up to 15mm travel without damaging the sensor. The object strikes a threaded protective cap on the sensor, which then pushes the sensor back. This eliminates damage to the sensor and the coil. Similar to the already proven mounting clamps, the sensor is installed in the collision guard and the switching distance adjusted by means of the threads.
Molded M16 connectors for Micropulse transducers
Effectively immediately Balluff has expanded its line of connectors with a molded connector which thanks to its additional stainless steel knurled nut is ideal for use in aggressive environments. The connector is available in 6- and 8-pin versions. The cable is drag chain compatible and halogen-free. Its small dimensions makes it ideal for tight mounting conditions.
Balluff Globalprox
„Everything from one source“
Behind the name Globalprox is the new full-line, globally available range of inductive sensors from Balluff. A broad spectrum of standard sensors, all from one source. Whether M8, M12, M18 or M30, whether 3-wire or 2-wire - all the versions and housing sizes represent the new worldwide Balluff standard. Adding unshielded models with longer switching distance has enhanced the offering significantly, and globally recognized approvals such as CULUS and CE are behind all these sensors.
Super Shorties – extremely short and compact
Balluff now offers the shortest inductive M8 sensor in the world. The smallest sensor in this product family is all of 6 mm long (in the cable version). This extremely short housing allows the complete sensor to be positioned directly at the sensing location even in space-critical applications, and for example in compact assemblies such as linear slides, valves and actuators. With its rugged stainless steel housing the sensor weighs only 0,7 grams (without cable). This also makes the sensor ideal for high-dynamic applicat4ions such as pick-and-place.
New Balluff BML magnetic linear encoder system
„Precise and real-time capable“
With the new, highly precise BML incremental magnetic tape linear encoder system BALLUFF has added another operating principle to their product range. The result of intensive R&D is a noise-immune product which resolves to 1 µm and features a system accuracy of down to ±10 µm over a maximum nominal measuring length of 48 meters.
New electronic cylinder switch
BMF 273 – Miniature sensor with integrated mounting bracket
With the BMF 273 the sensor specialists have completed their line of magnetic field sensors. The new BMF 273 compact sensor offers high function reserves on cylinders with weak or strong magnets, and stands out with its high repeat accuracy and low hysteresis. Thanks to its small dimensions of just 27 mm x 3 mm x 5 mm it is the ideal solution for especially small grippers and cylinders having a C-slot and slot size 10. The holder is already integrated into the sensor, so that no separate mounting bracket is needed. With a width of just 3 mm, it completely disappears into the cylinder slot without protruding, and the serrated housing surface allows the switching point to be adjusted in seconds.
