Beim historischen Radrennen messen sich Fahrer im Outfit von anno dazumal auf hundert Jahre alten Vehikeln. Auch die Besucher dürfen ihr Geschick auf „antiken“ Drahteseln ausprobieren und sich zum Beispiel auf ein Hochrad schwingen. Damen in edlen Roben mit großen Hüten flanieren am Arm von Herren in Frack und Zylinder und posieren für Fotos.
Berühmte Kurgäste erwachen bei einer Erlebnisführung zu neuem Leben. In den sechs Badehäusern, den Wartesälen, Schmuckhöfen und 265 Badezellen entspannte sich zum Beispiel Zarin Alexandra im glamourösen Ambiente und wohlig warmen Solewasser. In den original erhaltenen Badezellen geleiten auch heute noch adrett in Schürze und Häubchen gekleidete Frauen zum Bad in der historischen Großherzog Ernst-Ludwig-Doppelwanne. Ein Glas Sekt und danach eine Meeresalgenkörperpackung – wie wunderbar!
Musik und Lyrik um 1900 mit Werken von Thomas Mann, Kurt Tucholsky und Johann Strauss stehen ebenso auf dem Festivalprogramm wie der legendäre Serpentinentanz und der temperamentvolle Can-Can. Umrahmt wird das Festival vom Kunsthandwerker- und Restauratorenmarkt mit Möbeln, Bildern, Schmuck sowie kunstvollen Stücken aus Stuck, Keramik, Glas und Stoff, die auf einen neuen Besitzer warten.
