AUPEO! will deliver a next generation Web Radio service that, unlike similar consumer offerings, is intended to enhance the in-vehicle listening use case. Today, AUPEO! operates a Web Radio service that provides an index of internet audio feeds and re-streams terrestrial stations. By partnering with Bach Technology, AUPEO! will offer global internet radio feeds that are continuously monitored to provide real-time information such as the song currently playing and the artist as well as providing radio station profiles. This next generation of web radio also provides the ability to "love" and "ban" songs on a user's personal radio profile, access accurate track metadata search for stations in new ways including finding stations that match the user's music preferences.
"We can now not only offer consumers an enhanced user experience but we can offer automakers a much higher quality of service." said David Taylor, Managing Director and CTO of AUPEO!. "The partnership with BACH will continue as we jointly develop technologies that enhance the terrestrial and internet listening experience in the car"
By offering new high quality features that are unique, AUPEO! tackles the automakers' constant challenge to look for ways to differentiate their connected infotainment systems beyond pure consumer applications. "AUPEO! is the perfect partner for BACHach. Its automotive customer base reaches 8 out of the top 10 car makers and this is the reason that we are thrilled working exclusively with AUPEO! to bring our products to the automotive market. We will work together to offer continuous innovation for web radio to cars and consumers." said Stefan Kohlmeyer, CEO of Bach Technology."
The next generation Web Radio product will be available from this summer for consumers and automakers alike. For the first time, AUPEO! will offer subscribers Web Radio integrated with AUPEO!'s consumer applications on iOS and Android. Web Radio is also available for integration into in-vehicle infotainment systems as part of a seamless and comprehensive cloud audio offering.
