Wundverschluss: B. Braun hat von Premilene auf Optilene umgestellt

Die B. Braun Melsungen AG hat das Nahtmaterial Premilene auf Polypropylen-Basis seit 01.07.2018 aus dem Programm genommen.

Bereits seit 2013 steht als Alternative Optilene in der Herzchirurgie zur Verfügung. In 2016 wurden die Indikationen für Optilene erweitert, so dass Premilene dadurch nun komplett ersetzt werden konnte.

Bei B. Braun-internen Messungen hat Optilene bei diversen Eigenschaften eindeutige Vorteile gegenüber Premilene gezeigt, so dass der Wechsel zu Optilene aufgrund seiner innovativen Zusammensetzung auf der Basis Polypropylen plus Polyethylen als Verbesserung zum Vorteil der Anwender gesehen werden kann.

B. Braun bietet zur Umstellung auf Optilene ein vielfältiges Sortiment an Nadel-Faden-Kombinationen an, so dass Anwender problemlos geeignete Austauschmöglichkeiten finden.

Die Preisgestaltung beider Nahtmaterialien ist und bleibt in 2018 unverändert.

Die Umstellung auf das neuere Nahtmaterial Optilene kann daher für fast alle Anwender weitestgehend ohne Mehrkosten erfolgen.
