At Light & Building, Avnet Memec will join forces with Cirrus Logic, one of its key solution partners in this area. Cirrus Logic's dimmer-compatibility technology offers the customer best-in-class dimmer compatibility and maximum dimming range performance, enabling a total system cost on par with the industry. Additionally, with its energy measurement Analog Front End (AFE) ICs, Cirrus Logic is freeing designers to use the MCU of their choice in their design. This approach enables customers to optimize performance and price on every platform and provides flexibility across platforms to meet changing market requirements.
Among other things, Avnet Memec will demonstrate a reference platform for Energy Monitoring for Smart Homes and Buildings which incorporates a highly accurate energy measurement device from Cirrus Logic. With the platform 'Powerhouse', Avnet Memec is addressing the rapidly growing demand for real-time energy monitoring in home appliance, utility sub-metering, DIN rail modules and building automation applications. Avnet Memec is also presenting 'Lighthouse', an ideal platform for quick evaluation of all the relevant criteria for networked controlled lighting. The system shows how to control LED Lighting via PowerLine communication within a room and it supports tests in buildings where control networks on several floors are required
"We are delighted to present our solutions at this year's Light + Building. With our latest applications 'PowerHouse' and 'LightHouse' we are addressing two hot topics energy 'Demand Response' and lighting control," comments Hans Happ, FAE Avnet Memec. "Customers planning to develop similar products will get full support and detailed information to transfer our know-how into their products."
Avnet Memec is part of the joint booth of LonMark Germany in hall 9.0 /stand E10 featuring the theme: "LON® is everywhere and versatile".
