Aventail Secure Collaboration integriert sich nahtlos in Aventails Plattform mit einheitlichem Policy Management, die als zentrales Gateway zu allen Ressourcen und Collaboration Tools dient. Single Sign-On sorgt für die gewohnt einfache Anmeldung.
Aventail Secure Collaboration umfasst drei Komponenten: Schnelle Hilfe erhält der Benutzer über den Secure Remote Helpdesk, der über ein Portal von jedem Endgerät, jeder Plattform und jeder VoIP- und textfähigen Netzwerkverbindung erreichbar ist. Meetings, Schulungen oder Präsentationen lassen sich über Secure Web Conferencing aufsetzen und bei Bedarf einfach um weitere Teilnehmer erweitern. Secure Teamwork erlaubt verschiedenste Austauschmöglichkeiten von spontanen Chats über geplante Meetings bis hin zur kurzfristigen Zusammenarbeit verschiedener Nutzer und Gruppen. Mit schnellem Verbindungsaufbau, VoIP und Instant Messaging trägt Aventail Secure Collaboration zur Produktivität im Unternehmen bei.
Im Gegensatz zu Aventail bieten andere VPN-Hersteller keine Collaboration Tools oder nur in Zusammenarbeit mit einem Konferenzdienstleister. Häufig sind die Angebote auf Windows beschränkt oder haben lediglich ein begrenztes Leistungsspektrum. Mit der voll integrierten Aventail Lösung erübrigen sich separate Collaboration-Produkte, so dass Firmen ohne großen Aufwand die Kommunikation ihrer Benutzer über das Web implementieren können.
Aventail Secure Collaboration wird im ersten Quartal 2006 erhältlich sein. Die Appliance mit 1U-Bauhöhe unterstützt bis zu 500 gleichzeitige Nutzer. Die neue Option kostet ab 4.600 Euro netto für zehn Simultanbenutzer.
