CANNON-Automata introduces new C1eco Web-Panel series with Java support, multi website function and WLAN

Multi-touch web-panel with HTML5/CSS capable browser and graphical configuration tool

(PresseBox) (Ried, )
Web-based visualization is an important component for operating and displaying production processes via the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). It enables access to the user interface of machines and plants from any location and at any time. With the L1/C1 multi-touch web-panels, CANNON-Automata offers a scalable device platform for web-based user interfaces. The C1eco web-panels with optimized multi-touch display unit and CPU units as well as new software functions has now been added to the portfolio.

The C1eco web-panels are available in different sizes. The multi-touch display units use a robust glass touch and brilliant displays. As with the L1/C1 series, they can be flexibly combined with various system units. In addition to the already known variants with ARM® and Intel® Celeron or Core™-i CPUs, a cost-optimized system unit with ARM® Cortex-A9® Multicore CPU and WLAN interface is available. If required, C1eco display units and system units can also be operated separately via a single cable up to 100 meters long for video, touchscreen and power supply.

All web-panels are equipped with extensive software. The Chromium web browser supports HTML5 and CSS and thus ensures fast and fluently display of web visualizations created with CODESYS Web-Visu, ProconWeb, B&R mapp View, TwinCAT PLC HMI Web, WinCC/Web Navigator, etc. As an alternative to HTML5 web pages, Java applets can now also be displayed.

An integrated tool allows the simple and intuitive configuration of the web-panels. The graphical user interface of the tool uses operating functions well known from smartphones and has been extended by many new configuration options. For example, the user can create any number of profiles on a panel to manage several web visualizations. These profiles contain all visualization-specific settings such as URL, network setup, etc. This enables an easy and fast changeover between individual web visualizations during operation.

L1/C1 web-panels are particularly applicable for operation on A2-PAC, F3-PAC or K1 controllers, but can also communicate with any other controller with an integrated web server, such as Beckhoff, B&R, Siemens, WAGO, etc.
