Mark Logic and empolis Sign OEM Agreement

Joint Solution Provides End-to-End XML Content Management and Dynamic Content Delivery

(PresseBox) (Gütersloh, )
empolis GmbH, provider of the industry’s leading XML content management suite, announced today that it has signed an OEM partnership with Mark Logic ® Corporation, provider of the industry’s leading XML content platform. With this agreement, empolis will license and tightly integrate MarkLogic Server as an embedded component within its flagship products empolis:Content Lifecycle Suite (e:CLS), a platform for the creation, management and control of highly-modular XML content and empolis:Service Lifecycle Suite (e:SLS), a knowledge management solution that enables service representatives to locate the correct response to specific customer questions as quickly as possible. empolis’ existing and future customers will now leverage the robust capabilities and performance of MarkLogic Server to dynamically assemble and deliver targeted personalized technical documentation, providing just the right amount of information to each user at the time it is needed and in a preferred format.

Organizations use MarkLogic Server to unlock the full value of their content by improving how they integrate, enrich, and contextualize information to effectively deliver it to the various audiences they serve. Based on its ability to reliably handle extremely large volumes of both structured and unstructured content, and its highly scalable and expressive query capabilities, MarkLogic Server has enabled empolis to build sophisticated end-to-end content management and delivery applications.

“empolis is an established technology leader in the realm of topic-based XML content management, while Mark Logic® is at the forefront of dynamic content delivery, providing millisecond response time against terabytes of content,” said Michel Manago, director of product management at empolis. “We are excited to extend the capabilities of e:CLS and e:SLS in order to offer our customers a complete end-to-end solution for authoring, managing, assembling and dynamically delivering personalized content anytime they need it.”

“Companies routinely make large investments in complex content management solutions, but often under invest in the most crucial aspect of the content lifecycle – the delivery of information to knowledge workers in a way that is useful and contextually significant,” said Bill Veiga, vice president of business development at Mark Logic ® Corporation. “The combination of MarkLogic Server and the e:CLS and e:SLS closes this critical gap by enabling organizations to more easily repurpose existing content in a fraction of the time that is traditionally required by conventional ECM systems.”
