Hannover Messe – Digital Factory Trade Show: “Information at your fingertips“

(PresseBox) (Guetersloh, Germany, )
empolis will present its newest developments at the VDMA Community booth at the “Digital Factory” at this year’s Hannover Messe. Enterprise content and knowledge management solutions are features required by the industry in order to develop, produce, and sell products, thereby covering the entire product lifecycle.

The empolis:Content Lifecycle Suite (e:CLS) provides an XML-based, modular content management system that fulfills even the most demanding requirements in a modern editorial environment and is equipped to handle tomorrow’s challenges. e:CLS 3.2 supports DITA as a preconfigured solution for component-based documentation. Customers get a quick-start package that enables them to write and manage DITA-based documentation from day one. Other new features are the auditing/reporting functionality to analyze system status and user activity and rendition support where alternative content of a multimedia information object can be managed. The system also offers substantial management functionalities for metadata, linking, versioning, variants, translation and workflow.

The empolis:Service Lifecycle Suite (e:SLS) supports service organizations with effective creation, management and retrieval of service know-how. Lower costs and improved service quality: The e:SLS enables organizations to quickly provide the correct answers to customer queries with competent and consistent results via any channel; e.g. telephone, e-mail, fax, letter, internet, voice self-service and technical field service.

The entire range of e:SLS functionalities are based on a knowledge model tailored to and reflecting the actual application area. The central knowledge model is the foundation for intelligent and powerful search methods in the e:SLS. It also builds the framework for multidimensional search and navigation structures to ensure for efficient and precise information access. Dynamic decision trees assist the service technician in understanding even the most complex service procedures. The integration of measuring and testing systems considerably reduces the time needed for technical diagnosis. The comprehensive logging functionality guarantees that relevant data is aggregated from the corresponding field and included in the development of new products.

empolis will demonstrate these highlights at the VDMA Community booth in Hall 17, booth D50.
