- Live event based on the successful “WIG Talks” industry podcasts
- Focusing on how Artificial Intelligence and 5G are changing the Media Supply Chain
- Panel discussion and breakout sessions on tech challenges and business implications
- Supported by the Arvato Systems Vidispine team, Object Matrix and Zixi
WIG Talks Live is being spun out of the highly successful WIG Talks podcasts, which were first set up by the Workflow Innovation Group in 2020. Hosted and moderated by industry veteran and Media Consultant Christy King and founder of AI-oriented media consultancy Hackthorne Innovation, Steve Sharman, the event will feature lively panel discussions that aren’t afraid to tackle the difficult questions, plenty of audience interaction and any sales rhetoric firmly left at the door.
The overall event will discuss two technology trends impacting the media industry, AI and 5G. As with past Workflow Innovation Group events, the primary focus of the event will be on the business and commercial implications of these technologies. However, to satisfy attendees of a more technical persuasion, the event will also incorporate a Vortech track, covering technical aspects of the same topics. Vortech, a summit for media developers and technologist, was first hosted by the Vidispine team in Stockholm in 2019 and followed up in 2020 with the vortechConnect virtual event.
“If we are to successfully solve some of the challenges that are facing us in the next decade, we need to be able to have frank, open discussions about the issues”, comments Steve Sharman. Nicolas Ley, Vice President at Arvato Systems and responsible for Vidispine adds: “That’s what the Workflow Innovation Group is all about and we are delighted to be taking part in this year’s WIG Talks Live which we are sure will be an insightful and illuminating time of discussions.”
WIG Talks Live takes place on May 26, 2021. Registration is free at the landingpage
