Effective July 1, 2020, Birgit Lichtenstein, a recognized expert for IT in the energy industry, will join Arvato Systems' top management team. As a further managing director of Arvato Systems Perdata GmbH, she will share responsibility for the group's significantly expanded utilities and public sector business with Hartmut Fries, Managing Director (CEO) of Arvato Systems Perdata GmbH.
After studying economics, Birgit Lichtenstein began her professional career in the RWE Group. She has held a variety of management positions in Germany and abroad and was responsible for the successful implementation of international IT transformation programs, both on the IT infrastructure and application side. She was also responsible for extensive sourcing decisions in the IT sector. After holding various positions, among others at RWE IT GmbH and RWE AG, she took over the role of Head of Performance Management and Head of Digital@Finance at the European energy company innogy SE, where she was also responsible for the topic of digitalisation and related process automation.
