- arvato Systems develops first operating processes for testing of eHealth card
- Data highway is currently undergoing a comprehensive phase of testing within the reference environment
The public key infrastructure (PKI) and key first operating processes such as service management have already been set up. The data centers of the special service operators and the other sub-contractors of gematik (www.gematik.de) have been integrated, establishing the connection between the data centers of the health insurers and the central services of the various lots in the reference environment. Plans for software developments are also on target. This includes running the configuration service for regularly updating the software in the card terminals as well as setting up monitoring to supervise the availability of product prototypes and services of the central TI.
Jan Wemmel, Director Health & Public Sector at arvato Systems: “We’re currently in the test phase within the reference environments. During this phase, we have implemented the relevant requirements of gematik and are now performing large-scale independent testing before we install the functionality with assured quality in the gematik test environment for further testing.”
Following the arvato Systems and gematik tests in the various test environments, there will be a transition to the production environment for the actual trial phase.
Setting up and operating the data highway, i.e., the linking of all parties involved from the German healthcare system, is one of the most complex IT projects ever undertaken and represents a quantum leap in modernizing the German healthcare industry.
