State-of-the-Art Software Solutions at Europe’s Biggest Broadcasting Conference

arvato Systems (formerly S4M – Solutions for Media) will present its software solutions for the 13th time at the International Broadcast Convention in Amsterdam from 7–11 September 2012. IBC is the biggest conference in the broadcasting industry in Europe, receiving more than 50,000 visitors annually.

IBC in Amsterdam is one of the most important events for media experts throughout Europe. More than 1,300 exhibitors will present the latest technology, solutions, and trends in media and entertainment across 14 themed halls.

This year arvato Systems is presenting two brand new products: ‘Avamio’ is arvato Systems’ latest product in digital media management. The compact media asset management solution is aimed mainly at small TV and special interest stations, post-production facilities, and corporate TV, providing support in effective media data management.

‘AdStore,’ a new sales platform for crossmedia campaigns, will also be presented. The online platform combines media-specific standalone solutions within one interface. It allows campaigns to be planned and managed across various media types such as TV, online, VOD, and mobile from a single application.

Highlights of the MAM system, ‘VPMS’ (Video Production Management System), include expanded media management, the new and powerful search engine, and the fast and seamless integration of editing and high-resolution solutions from Avid, Adobe, Quantel, and Apple.

Alongside ‘ClipJOCKEY,’ the studio production tool that enables tapeless TV production, the new software ‘ClipJOCKEY Server’ will be presented for the first time at IBC. This software provides an ActiveX component within a newsroom system (e.g., OpenMedia, AVID iNEWS, or AP ENPS), allowing clips to be easily moved to the rundown. It also lets you see which clips are available on the video server.

The latest version of the ad sales system ‘S4AdSales’ supports a new sales model that allows sales packages to be planned with maximum flexibility. The solution offers an even higher degree of customizability and supports a wide range of business models and advertising markets. Visitors can also check out ‘S4AdOpt,’ the optimization engine for achieving perfect ad placements according to individual rules and priorities.

arvato Systems will also present ‘Dynamics Media,’ the all-in-one broadcast management system based on Microsoft Dynamics AX, with expanded features and an enhanced user interface following migration to Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.
