- Arvato Systems once more supports students at Paderborn University
- The key focus of the seminar: risks posed by international requirements in terms of potential embargos and customs fees, and the entry into force of the EU GDPR
The Center for Risk Management is an institute within the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics that researches practical risk management for SMEs. Within the framework of the ‘Business Meets Scholarship’ initiative, Arvato Systems once more supported students in the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics at Paderborn University with a seminar that married theory with practice.
This time, students explored the extent to which risks posed by international requirements in terms of potential embargos and customs fees, as well as the entry into force of the EU GDPR, will present challenges to the economy with regards to automobile manufacturers, freight companies, retailers, and IT companies. This jointly organized on-site course, which students and representatives from Arvato Systems attended at the IT expert’s premises in Gütersloh, Germany, on 4 July, brought an end to this year’s collaboration.
Consistent collaboration secures a new generation of managers
Cooperation between Arvato Systems and Paderborn University’s Center for Risk Management, ‘CeRiMa,’ has flourished since 2010. It began with a joint study project on risk management, and has grown continuously ever since. This collaborative partnership focuses on joint supervision of bachelor, master, and PhD theses, in addition to the seminars it offers at regular intervals. By organizing these lectures and fostering close collaboration between the participants, Arvato Systems has once more succeeded in attracting suitable candidates for ambitious projects, and been able to present them with appropriate job offers. The contact persons for cooperation with Arvato Systems are Melanie Schuppner (Melanie.Schuppner@Bertelsmann.de) and Thomas Scharf (Thomas.Scharf@Bertelsmann.de).
Further information on the seminar is available on the Paderborn University website.
