"In Ulrike Grönefeld, the management team of arvato gains an experienced communications expert who has already proven in various positions that she has the personal and technical capability to facilitate arvato's impending transformation in the years ahead with communications, and to provide creative input for the process", said Achim Berg. "I very much look forward to working with her and wish her every success in arvato. At the same time I would like to take this opportunity to very cordially thank Gernot Wolf for handling the interim management of the team."
Ms. Grönefeld brings comprehensive experience from various relevant fields to her new position. After training as a journalist at the Westfälische Nachrichten in Münster, she gained experience in public administration - including as the press spokesperson for Cologne District President Franz-Josef Antwerpes - before joining ThyssenKrupp and moving into corporate communications. There she worked in successive management positions, among other things as Head of Press and Public Relations in charge of external representation and in-house communications for the Industrial Services business unit - the part of the company that dealt with the outsourcing of business processes. In this role, she also facilitated several change management processes. She left ThyssenKrupp to join Europe's largest mobility and logistics service provider, Deutsche Bahn, in Berlin as their Corporate Spokeswoman for Sustainability.
