Der internationale Technologie-Konzern ANDRITZ und Montes del Plata, das Joint Venture-Unternehmen von Stora Enso und Arauco, befinden sich in fortgeschrittenen Vertragsverhandlungen betreffend die Lieferung von Produktionstechnologien und Ausrüstungen für das neue Zellstoff-Werk von Montes del Plata (Jahreskapazität: 1,3 Millionen Tonnen Eukalyptus-Marktzellstoff) in Punta Pereira, Uruguay. Über den Auftragswert wurde Stillschweigen vereinbart; der übliche Auftragswert für vergleichbare Referenzprojekte beträgt zwischen 750 und 800 Millionen Euro.

Der Lieferumfang des ANDRITZ-Geschäftsbereichs PULP & PAPER umfasst die EPC-Lieferung der kompletten Faserlinie sowie der Rückgewinnungsanlage, inklusive sämtlicher relevanter Prozessstufen. Die Anlage wird voraussichtlich im ersten Halbjahr 2013 in Betrieb gehen.
