Electricidade de Portugal (EDP) has awarded the Consortium ANDRITZ HYDRO - ENSULMECI a contract for the supply and erection of the complete electromechanical equipment for two pumped storage power plants for the Baixo Sabor hydropower project. The total contract value is approximately 111 MEUR, thereof approximately 90 MEUR for ANDRITZ HYDRO.
The scope of supply for each of the two hydropower plants includes two reversible pump turbines, motor generators, governors, hydraulic steel structures, automation, and an extensive balance of plant package.
