Der neue Heizölmelder HMS von AFRISO ist zur Detektion von Ölaufkommen in Auffangräumen bzw. -wannen, Domschächten, Rohr- oder Kabelkanälen sowie in Pumpen- und Regelstationen geeignet. Der Heizölmelder HMS besteht aus einem Steckergehäuse mit integriertem Messumformer und Steckdose (z. B. zum Anschluss eines Ölförderaggregats) und einer optoelektronischen Sonde, die je nach Anwendung mit einer Kabellänge von 0,75 m oder 2 m lieferbar ist. Optional sind auch Ersatz-Sonden mit Kabellängen von 10 m oder 30 m erhältlich. Der Melder HMS wird in eine 230 V Steckdose gesteckt und ist für Räume mit Umgebungstemperaturen von -10 °C bis +60 °C geeignet. Die Sonde wird am tiefsten Punkt des zu überwachenden Raumes hängend oder liegend befestigt. Im leckagefreien Zustand leuchtet die grüne Betriebslampe. Sollte die Infrarot-Sonde in Flüssigkeit eintauchen, schaltet sich die Steckdose (Schaltleistung max. 1800 VA bei AC 230 V) sofort ab und die rote Alarmlampe beginnt zu leuchten. Ölansammlungen werden ab einer Höhe von etwa 4 mm zuverlässig erkannt. Bei Ausfall der Netzspannung wird kein Alarm ausgelöst. Bei Wiederkehr der Netzspannung ist das Gerät sofort betriebsbereit. Ein inzwischen eingetretener Leckagefall wird angezeigt. Das System bietet hohen Schutz vor unerwünschten Umweltschäden und den damit verbundenen Kosten. Die Inbetriebnahme des Meldesystems ist ganz einfach und schnell durchführbar. HMS detektiert Heizöl EL, L, M, Dieselkraftstoffe und dünnflüssige Schmieröle der Gruppe A III und Gefahrklasse A III sowie Motoren-, Getriebe-, Maschinen- und Hydrauliköle. Der Heizölmelder HMS besitzt die allgemeine bauaufsichtliche Zulassung Z-65.40-214 des Deutschen Instituts für Bautechnik (DIBt).
