New R2.1 Type 6 SOM-6867 COM Express Compact Module With Intel® Atom™ E3800 & Celeron® E3845/J1900
Outstanding Performance with Low Power Consumption
Palm-Size with Superior Performance
SOM-6867 is a COM Express type 6 Compact module (95 x 95 mm) that takes up around 24% less space but gives 300% plus CPU performance and 400% graphic performance increase over previous generations. SOM-6867 J1900 consumes less than 5 watts (idle mode) for the whole module, and provides practical information for system design and integration. It delivers up to 8 GB DDR3L memory and two SO-DIMM sockets to fulfill intensive graphic requirements. SOM-6867 supports DirectX 11, OpenGL 4.0 and H.264 flexible hardware decoder to decode multiple high-resolution full HD videos.
In addition, SOM-6867 supports dual independent displays for even better media and display capabilities. SOM-6867 Display Port is capable of up to 2560 x 1600 pixels and 1920 x 1200 pixels with HDMI, as well as a combination of two independent displays via 2CH 24-bit LVDS.
Flexibility for Various System Design
SOM-6867 has a wide range of voltage input from 4.75V ~ 20V, and flexible application development options from its 1 to 4 core selection. With PCIe x4 built into the processor, SOM-6867 provides super fast data transmission. This model is able to support 4 x PCIe x1 and single LAN. SOM-6867 solves the difficulty for customers requiring high data transmission and LAN at the same time; which was not available from previous platforms. On-board storage design provides better reliability than traditional hard disk drives, allowing more space for system design.
Supports Advantech iManager Hardware Monitoring Utility
SOM-6867 fully supports Advantech iManager, which provides a valuable suite of programmable APIs such as multi-level watchdog, hardware monitor, and other user-friendly interfaces. Since this is a built-in on-chip solution, iManager ensures that functions operate even if the operating system fails, helping enhance system stability and compatibility, and reducing effort on carrier board design and platform migration.
