Powered by the Intel® Atom(TM) processor N2600, the new SOM-7565 offers balanced performance with the focus on super low-power consumption. This solution helps customers build low-power applications for a variety of handheld and portable devices.

COM R2.1 Type 10 Compliant Module with the Benefit of Intel® Atom(TM) N2600

SOM-7565 is Advantech's first COM-Express Mini module compliant with the COM R2.1 type 10 specification, for customers targeting ultra low-power applications. The compact design (84 x 55 mm) is about the size of a business card, making it suitable for portable applications in point of sale, transportation, medical and factory devices. With Intel® Atom(TM) processor N2600 + chipset NM10 at TDP 5W, Advantech is able to provide a powerful solution consuming around 8W during heavy loading. While customers enjoy the benefit of low-power consumption, the dual-core processor delivers a 40% or more improvement in processing power compared to Intel® Atom(TM) processors N455 and E680. Designing a carrier board driven by SOM-7565 provides customers with ample performance yet super low power consumption.

Besides the advantages provided by the Intel® Atom(TM) processor N2600 + chipset NM10, SOM-7565 delivers more distinct characteristics that differentiate it from other solution providers' products.

Onboard Storage: In the field of handheld/portable device applications, vibration is always a major concern. In order to minimize the effects of vibration, all SOM-7565 modules are equipped with soldered onboard memory and an SSD. Now, customers can eliminate the need of additional storage devices, and design smaller products that consume less battery power.

Wide Operating Temperature: For devices operating in extreme low or high temperatures, SOM-7565 provides wide temperature support (-40 to 80° C). This makes running a detector application in the Arctic or in the burning desert a reality, for example.

Reinforced with the New Advantech iManager 2.0

Advantech iManager provides a valuable suite of programmable APIs such as multi-level watchdog, hardware monitor, and more user-friendly interfaces. Since this is a built-in solution on chip, iManager ensures functions operate even if the operating system fails, helping enhance system stability and compatibility, and reducing effort on carrier board design and platform migration.
