Nter to Complete in the Cut&Pastle Digital Design Tournament 2007
This years events will feature a fresh slate of creative contenders, revamped design challenges, and a newly elected panel of judges. Over the course of several fast-paced, single-elimination rounds, eight designers will be whittled down to one. Each contestant will compete with the latest tools including an Apple® MacPro Workstation, Adobe® Creative Suite 3, and a Wacom® Cintiq interactive pen display. A designated theme will guide competitors to create a digital design in each round, as their work is projected in real-time before a live audience. An esteemed judging panel will decide the Jury Prize, while a global webcast will allow onsite and offsite viewers to vote for an Audience Prize online or by SMS.
The Cut&Paste Tournament is a forum for designers to showcase their talent and the creative process in front of peers, recruiters, and industry leaders, giving them the opportunity to build professional relationships.
Cut&Paste not only worked as a portal to meet other talented people who share my passion for design and visual communication, it was the ultimate showcase, notes Julian Gonzales, a past Cut&Paste contestant. Just one week after the event, I was approached by two different design firms expressing interest in working with me.
Contestants can win prizes including:
€ Jury Prize: A newly released Wacom® 20² Cintiq Display € Audience Prize: An Adobe® Creative Suite 3 Master Collection Suite € Finalist Prize: An Apple® 13² MacBook € Semifinalist Prize: A Wacom® Intuos3 9²X12² Tablet € All contestants will receive the Adobe® Creative Suite 3 Design Premium
