Additional functions such as app localization complement the function scope of the new version.
The key objective of the development of Across v5.3 was to significantly facilitate and speed up the daily work for the user. To meet the growing demands of industrial customers and language service providers, the team exploited the potential of even the minutest details. Last but not least, the ongoing quality assurance in every process phase contributed to a substantial performance boost of the Across Language Server, from small to very large installations. This is especially noticeable in extensive translation memories and documents, as the overhead for each individual translation can be reduced considerably even when processing large quantities of data in live operation. Extensive load tests have confirmed this. In fact, the required response times could even be undercut easily. Project managers and translators alike benefit from the resulting time savings.

The expanded function scope makes working even more efficient. With version 5.3, Across enables the localization of mobile apps for smartphones and tablet PCs. So far, the Android, iOS (iPhone), and BlackBerry platforms are supported; Windows Phone will follow shortly.
All new features and functional enhancements of Across are also provided in the LSP Edition, which is custom-tailored to the needs of language service providers.
