"Industrial Transformation – Energizing a Sustainable Industry" is the theme of the 2024 Hannover Messe. The event will take place at the Hanover Exhibition Centre from April 22 to 26. Companies from the engineering, electronics and digital industries, as well as the energy sector will be presenting their solutions for the production and energy provision of tomorrow.
The topics being covered include Industry 4.0, Manufacturing-X and automation, as well as artificial intelligence and machine learning.
achelos will be showcasing its extensive portfolio of security engineering services and individual key management solutions for connected manufacturing on the Industrial Security Circus joint stand (Stand A12 (20) in Hall 16). Everyone is talking about the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and IEC 62443. On the trade fair stand, achelos will be addressing the associated requirements and showing how these can be met.
Public key infrastructure for cyber security
A public key infrastructure facilitates secure, intelligent connectivity of devices and machines. achelos provides comprehensive services for establishing new or migrating existing public key infrastructures, covering everything from system planning and provisioning to secure operation. These services take into account not only application-specific requirements and standards but also existing processes and certifications. As a manufacturer-independent provider, achelos can implement a solution comprising consulting, software and hardware that is both integrative and individually tailored to customer requirements. Manufacturers can satisfy the requirements of IEC 62443 with high-quality electronic certificates that verify the authenticity of the software and hardware used in their products. achelos provides extensive support for public key infrastructures, including managed services in the cloud.
Security engineering with achelos
Connectivity makes the automation industry susceptible to cyber attacks. achelos has an extensive portfolio of security engineering services to address this challenge: The company provides manufacturers with professional and efficient support on the road to CRA compliance of their ICS products, taking into account industrial security standards in accordance with IEC 62443. Thanks to many years of experience in the development and evaluation of software, achelos supports manufacturers in securing the integrity, availability and confidentiality of critical data and systems.
Cyber security testing
Transport Layer Security (TLS) and Internet Key Exchange (IKE)/Internet Protocol Security (IPsec) are recognised standards that form the basis for secure IT networks. However, implementation and configuration are both highly complex and can offer loopholes for attackers if not performed correctly. The achelos test suites TLS Inspector and IKE/IPsec Inspector help detect and then close these loopholes. The security test suites from achelos can, for example, be used to test cloud communication to ensure a secure configuration. All tests are performed fully automatically and the test results are reproducible, so they deliver valuable information. As such, the test suites provide optimum support during development, approval and operation in the field.
HSM solution
Hardware security modules (HSM) facilitate management of the keys that need to be both generated and secured to guarantee data security.
achelos is a proven expert in standard HSMs, as well as individual, certifiable HSM solutions. As a manufacturer-independent provider with an optimum mix of consulting, professional service, development and certification support, achelos always finds the best system for any application. The company's portfolio encompasses planning, provision and commissioning of the new HSM environment.
Expert presentation
Dr. Michael Jahnich, Director Business Development, will also be giving a presentation on the hot topic of "Digital device identities for industrial IoT within the scope of the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA)" on April 24 at 10:00 am (Stand A12/24 in Hall 16). During this presentation, he will be explaining how companies can successfully comply with both the CRA and IEC 62443.
