Bestimmte Geldvorteile hingegen rangieren auf einer insgesamt 11 Punkte umfassenden Prioritätenliste überraschenderweise eher auf den hinteren Plätzen. Der ACE Auto Club Europa hatte 2643 Automobilisten gefragt: "Worauf kommt es 2009 am meisten an?" Ganz vorne: Der Wunsch nach "Klimaschutz" (27 Prozent) und die Hoffnung auf "weniger Verkehrsopfer" (21 Prozent). Danach erst folgt das Verlangen nach "niedrigen Kraftstoffpreisen" (19 Prozent).
Immerhin 7 Prozent halten es 2009 für wichtig, Fahrgemeinschaften zu bilden; ebenso viele fordern ein den Vorschriften der Straßenverkehrsordnung (StVO) entsprechendes Fahrverhalten.
Die Forderung nach "weniger Schlaglöcher" schreiben sich 5 Prozent auf die Fahne, genauso viele freuen sich über die Beibehaltung der Pendlerpauschale. Vier Prozent wünschen höhere Strafen für Raser, was sich gemäß dem neuen Bußgeldkatalog vom 1. Februar an auch erfüllen wird.
Die Schlusslichter im Autofahrer-Katalog der Wichtigkeiten bilden mit jeweils 2 Prozent die Kfz-Steuerbefreiung für Neuwagen, der Wunsch nach Rabatten beim Autokauf sowie die vor wenigen Tagen beschlossene Verschrottungsprämie für ein altes Auto im Tausch gegen den Kauf eines effizienteren Fahrzeuges.
