Planer O2 Unite was introduced with the new “O2 Unite” contract model, where O2 business customers can easily and efficiently manage their mobile communications using just one quota pool, thereby avoiding a multiple of confusing individual contracts. This modern business app, which is based on Windows 8.1 and iOS, enables sales partners to use specifiable user profiles and consumer units to create customized offers directly at the customer onsite based on many years of consumer data. The app displays the cost, benefits, and all relevant facts of their mobile phone contracts to medium-sized business customers with maximum transparency, turning the sales talk into a digital experience.
Acando created the technical concepts for the app and took over the complete development and quality assurance. Acando built tailor-made custom controls to make the Planer app attractive to Telefónica customers. During development, the project team placed particular importance on well-established and long-term processes. Here, Acando chose agile methods. In addition to a Windows 8 version, they created an iOS version and a cross-browser version to make the app available to all end devices.
“Based on the professional and elegant project development, Acando was able to fulfill our need to change in a very short time and with a high-quality result. The exceptional effort made by the project team made it possible to present the sales app in a very big way and on-time,” said Peter Wienand, Vice President B2B-Solutions at Telefónica in Germany.
“This trend-setting project allowed us once again to make a profitable connection between the modern approach of Telefónica to our expertise for enterprise mobility and our many years of industry expertise at Acando. We are looking forward to forging ahead together in upcoming projects,” remarked Peter Ostrop, Member of Management at Acando GmbH.
