Integrating Alice DSL offerings into the O2 portfolio is not just a visual improvement, but it also required a number of changes in the backend of the CoreMedia content management system. An application implemented by Acando ensures that DSL products can be provided quickly during runtime and that the offer can be dynamically adapted to the user depending on the user’s location.
The application developed by Acando makes use of a rule engine that dynamically controls which customer is shown which offers. This feature ensures that each customer sees only those offers that can be implemented technically at that customer’s residence.
Malte Geßner, Senior Consultant at Acando GmbH, explains the technical implementation: “The current offers and price components must be available quickly and able to be changed at any time. You cannot properly illustrate this with conventional means. Thanks to the rule-based control, the web application responds flexibly to the requirements of the interested party.” Orders placed are processed later using an integration implemented by Acando with the CRM system of Telefónica Germany.
