Acando publishes PIM Connector in e-Spirit Marketplace

(PresseBox) (Hamburg, ) Hamburg, 07.05.2014. Now users of the FirstSpirit content management system have the option of using a standard connector for the product information system from Informatica. The PIM Connector from Acando GmbH enables you to realize a direct integration of the PIM system and CMS, so you can output current and unique product information to all marketing channels - from the Web to mobile devices.

The solution enables providers to display their product data directly on Web sites, POS, and the printed catalog production, but the data needs only to be manually maintained centrally in PIM. “Changes to descriptions, prices, and so on, take effect in real time and the end customers are given tailored information on all channels , regardless of whether they are using point of sale or the Internet,” this is how Acando product manager Klaas Klaassen explains the added value of the solution.

The Acando PIM Connector for Informatica is an expansion module for the FirstSpirit content management system from e-Spirit AG. It enables you to use a plug-in to edit the direct search in PIM from the editing system. Using the module, the data is transferred to the Web site, mobile apps, POS solutions, and printed catalogs and can be expanded from CMS with more Web content, like application descriptions. This way, the PIM Connector enables more effective cooperation between marketing and product management and greatly shortens the processes involving coordination and release.

“FirstSpirit users include many Enterprise customers from the industries of trade and e-commerce. Informatica PIM is very wide spread there. PIM Connector simplifies the division of labor because the product data is transferred directly from PIM and need not be synchronized manually,” says Andreas Knoor, division manager of product management at e-Spirit AG in praise of the new solution from Acando.

For many years, Acando has been an implementation partner to e-Spirit and Informatica. The PIM Connector, which is now available as a standard solution, has already been implemented in individual projects in the past. There it demonstrably reduced processing times and costs and increased the performance of the data delivery.
