The starting point for this latest publication was the work done by a project group in the Microsoft consulting business area with an in-house project management guideline. The essence has now been distilled for customers and interested persons. In about 80 pages, the manual describes organizational requirements, teambuilding, planning tools and how to proceed in all project phases, from preparing the job to throwing the final party, proving a useful guide for efficient IT project management.
With strong real-life relevance, this compendium is different from academic papers, without over-simplifying the subject. “Our project managers bring a high degree of expertise and many years of experience to the table. It is our job to condense this knowledge for customers and use this to implement projects reliably and successfully,” is how Guido Ahle, Managing Director of Acando GmbH, describes the intention.
Bijan Arjasbi, author of the book and Team Manager Microsoft Consulting, adds: “In day-to-day consulting we have to reconcile the customers’ habits and demands quickly and simply with our process. Here, it is best for both parties when transparent methods are documented and can be used as the basis for working together.” The consulting company has already penned similar publications about CRM and SharePoint implementations, which have become essential project companions for many customers due to their compact and informative style.
With over 30 certified project managers, Acando manages a wide range of IT and business consulting projects, supporting customers from inception to implementation and coaching employees using classic or agile methods.
