7layers certified the first IoT chipset acc. to GCF rules

(PresseBox) (Ratingen, )
7layers is proud to announce the first IoT chipset certification for u-blox’s IoT chipset UBX-R5 covering NB-IoT and LTE-M. This new certification allows the IoT ecosystem to easily integrate and embed the certified chipset UBX-R5 into modules and devices. GCF IoT chipset certification initiative is an extension of the existing IoT platforms and IoT modules program. 7layers did perform the certification of the u-blox chipset based on GCF’s new requirements. 7layers’ test house supported its partner u-blox during the product certification life with integration and support of test specifications and test cases analysis.

“With GCF IoT chipset certification of UBX-R5, 7layers confirmed a level of confidence, which the chipset integrators can rely on for their IoT devices certification”, said Thami Elidrissi, Operation Manager at 7layers GmbH and Board Director of GCF organization.
