With Gordian Raacke from the Al Gore team, we have succeeded in attracting an internationally recognised climate expert from the USA to come to our region. In addition, Andreas Pilzecker from the EU Commission for the reform of European agricultural subsidies will report on the implementation of the EU climate protection goals with respect to sustainability measures.
A number of other subjects will be introduced and discussed, including findings from research and the use of new plant cultures and algae as a biomass, raw materials from agriculture, optimal processing techniques, new systems of biorefining and the production of biochar.
The Lower Saxony minister for Food, Agriculture, Consumer Protection and Rural Development, Gert Lindemann, will present the status of the objectives and perspectives of bioenergy development in Lower Saxony.
