1WorldSync bestowed Power of 1 Awards to Wrigley, Mars, Gardena Deutschland GmbH, GS1 Belgium & Luxembourg
Power of 1 Award honors companies with outstanding initatives that drive synchronization of trusted product information worldwide
Jan Somers, CEO of GS1 Belgium & Luxembourg received the "Compass Award" for his initiative on establishing a new, integrated processes in coupon data management. GS1 Belgium & Luxembourg's trading community will use an integrated solution, the GS1 Belgilux Coupon Data Pool, powered by 1WorldSync, which seamlessly combines the benefits of product data management via the GS1 Global Data Sync Network (GDSN) with those of a standards based coupon data management solution.

Mars and Wrigley got the award in the category "Innovation" as they did the fastest migration of data: After Mars took over Wrigley more than 1500 product items have been moved to the Mars data pool - in only 20 days. Gardena Deutschland GmbH received the award for "GDSN adoption". The company subscribed to the 1WorldSync data pool only this year and already now synchronizes its whole product portfolio with big retailers industry wide - with plans for an international rollout.

The 1WorldSync Annual User Congress took place in Cologne and brought together trading partners and industry experts from Europe, Asia and North America, among them Google, KPMG, AEON, Best Buy, Mars and REWE Group. 150 representatives from 78 companies out of 21 countries participated in the event and took benefit from various networking opportunities.
