Die 1&1 Internet AG weitet den Tarif 1&1 City-Flat auf 13 weitere Städte aus. Damit können 1&1-Kunden jetzt in 35 Städten für nur 4,99 Euro eine echte DSL-Flatrate nutzen. Neu hinzugekommenen sind die Städte Bielefeld, Bochum, Braunschweig, Bremen, Chemnitz, Duisburg, Erfurt, Leipzig, Münster, Oberhausen, Osnabrück, Recklinghausen und Wuppertal.

Bisherige 1&1 Deutschland-Flat-Kunden, die in den neuen City-Flat-Bereichen wohnen, werden automatisch auf die City-Flat umgestellt. Ab dem nächsten individuellen Abrechnungszeitraum, der nach dem 27. Februar beginnt, surfen sie automatisch zum niedrigen Preis der City-Flat.

Bei den 1&1 DSL-Flatrates City-Flat und Deutschland-Flat handelt es sich um echte Flatrates ohne Volumen- oder Zeitbeschränkungen. In Verbindung mit einem bis zu 16.000 kBit/s schnellen 1&1 Netzanschluss ist somit ein ungebremstes Surferlebnis garantiert. Darüberhinaus setzt 1&1 weder künstliche Portdrosseln noch Bandbreitenmanagement ein.
