(pressebox) (Allschwil, 2010-06-09) At the Intersolar Europe 2010, Multi-Contact presents the new MC4PLUS connector, an addition to the MC4 connector system. The MC4PLUS is pre-assembled, and therefore particularly cost efficient. The new concept allows Multi-Contact to meet the steadily growing requirements of the PV industry. The IP65 and IP67 protected MC4PLUS comes pre-assembled with solar cables of cross sections 1,5 mm², 2,5 mm², 4 mm² and 6 mm². The snap-in lock can only be opened with a special tool, and thus ensures maximum safety for the connection.
