GPT-65XX consists of a printer mechanism with integrated cutter and matching controller board. A new feature for this series is the Easy Loading technology, which is in great demand in the market for miniature printers. The cutter can perform complete and partial cuts. The intelligent controller developed by GeBE comes with either an RS232 or a USB interface. Compared to other cobined solutions of this kind, the GeBE systems have an extremely slim design with only about half the height of comparable systems.

Low Voltage Printer Mechanism with Cutter for Full or Partial Cut

The thermal printer modules of the GPT-65XX series from GeBE for 58 or 80 mm paper width are true champions when it comes to saving weight and space. The compact design consisting of printer mechanism, cutter, and controller is quite unusual in the market for miniature thermal printer systems. Not only are its dimensions very small, but it also has a surprisingly wide operating voltage range. There are versions for 4.5 to 8.5 V, or for 24 V for stationary operation. This makes these space saving printer systems ideal for installation into small, stationary devices, but also for mobile applications with battery operation. The extremely flat printer mechanisms are equipped with Easy loading technology, which allows an easy and fast paper roll exchange without inconvenient paper threading. The 203 dpi print heads supply razor sharp text and graphic printouts printed with speeds up to 60 mm/s. Besides the usual full cut, the integrated cutter - controlled by the GCT-6583 controller board - can also perform a half cut, a helpful feature for organizing a practical workflow. The customer receipt remains connected to the paper roll through a small uncut strip, and can easily be torn off manually.

Intelligent Controller Design from GeBE

The various printer mechanisms with cutter are controlled by GCT-6583 controller boards that are available in 5 or 24 V. The standard controller boards GCT-6583, developed by GeBE, come with either an RS232 or a USB interface. The cost efficient controllers have the same footprint as the printer mechanisms, so they form a compact unit once the board is mounted underneath. The result is an extremely slim module that is very versatile regarding its installation. Since controller and printer mechanisms have the same dimensions, they can be mounted on top of each other, or also side by side or in a tandem configuration. All these outstanding features combined in one compact solution package of very small dimensions is indeed an exception in the market.
