AVT wurde am —1. Oktober 1996 in Nürnberg gegründet und übernahm die Audio- und Videoprodukte der Lucent Technologies Nürnberg, ehemals PKI (Philips Kommunikations Industrie AG).

Seitdem entwickelt AVT neue und innovative Produkte und erweitert sein Produktportfolio kontinuierlich. Nutzerfreundlichkeit und Implementierung neuester Features stehen dabei immer im Vordergrund.
