Jeder Siebte schaut noch in die Röhre: Warum nun der beste Zeitpunkt ist, sich zu trennen

Jeder Siebte hat in Deutschland nach wie vor einen Röhrenfernseher im Einsatz. Das geht aus einer Untersuchung der GfK im Auftrag des ZVEI hervor. Um nicht bald buchstäblich in die Röhre zu blicken, wird es jedoch Zeit, sich von den raumgreifenden Erben dieser auf 1897 zurückgehenden Bildröhren-Tradition zu verabschieden. Schon seit längerem werden Programme in der mit Röhrenfernsehern betrachtbaren SD-Auflösung durch die deutlich detailreicheren HD-Programme ersetzt.

Highlights der TV-Geschichte: Vom Röhrenfernseher zu LED und OLED

Der ZVEI blickt in einer Serie zur Evolution des Fernsehers auf den Anfangspunkt der TV-Geschichte mit der Braun’schen Röhre. Das war 1887. Es dauerte dann noch ein paar Jahrzehnte, bis die IFA 1931 Schauplatz der ersten öffentlichen elektronischen TV-Ausstrahlung wurde und noch ein paar Jährchen mehr, bis die Fernseher Einzug in die Wohnzimmer hielten. Aber als Neil Armstrong 1969 auf dem Mond landete, verfolgten dies weltweit 500 Millionen Menschen live auf dem Röhrenfernseher.
