Central Monitoring for PROFIBUS and PROFINET Networks: Softing Expands plantPerfect Monitor

New PROFINET functionality now enables central monitoring of heterogeneous communication networks, ensuring greater transparency and efficiency in plant communication.

(PresseBox) (Haar near Munich, )
Softing Industrial Automation announces an expansion of its plantPerfect Monitor software solution. The new version 2.00 will support PROFINET asset and network objects. This expands the scope of services beyond the previously supported PROFIBUS networks. The new functionality will be available from February 2026.

Comprehensive Condition and Plant Monitoring

plantPerfect Monitor is a central, container-based application for monitoring industrial communication networks. The software collects and visualizes both live and historical data, provides complete inventory data for all devices, and supplies diagnostic and statistical values for network and interface statuses. All information is reliably collected and archived via the secure MQTT protocol with TLS/SSL encryption.

Unified Platform for PROFIBUS and PROFINET

With the integration of PROFINET, Softing is expanding the functionality of plantPerfect Monitor with a crucial component: Users can now centrally monitor heterogeneous fieldbus landscapes, seamlessly track system changes, and detect impending failures at an early stage. This enables predictive maintenance and contributes significantly to increasing plant availability.

Flexible Architecture and Scalable Licensing Model

Thanks to its containerized software architecture, plantPerfect Monitor can run flexibly on Windows systems or in Docker environments. The scalable licensing model offers a choice of purchase or rental options and is tailored to the number of devices to be monitored. This allows the solution to adapt seamlessly to the individual requirements of plant operators and service organizations.

Presentation at SPS 2025 in Nuremberg

Softing will present the new version of plantPerfect Monitor at SPS Smart Production Solutions 2025 in Nuremberg from November 25 to 27, 2025, in Hall 5, Booth 258.
