AUTOSAR-based, safety-critical systems require advanced analysis techniques to verify functional safety. For many years, Lauterbach’s TRACE32® debugging and trace tools have not only provided deep insights into such systems but also offered advanced solutions for timing analysis.
TRACE32® now enables the analysis of both the AUTOSAR Classic operating system NeuSAR cCore and the AUTOSAR Adaptive Platform operating system NeuSAR aCore, as well as the applications running on them. This unique feature is realized by adding a menu extension to Lauterbach’s TRACE32® PowerView software that gives developers access to NeuSAR operating system resources such as tasks, alarms, stack coverage, and much more. When multiple operating system instances are running on multicore SoCs, TRACE32® also supports their simultaneous debugging. This includes hypervisor debugging of virtualized systems.
“The NeuSAR platform overcomes the technical challenges associated with large-scale applications under heavy load and enables seamless operation of controllers across chip and domain boundaries,” explains Linglin He, General Manager of Lauterbach’s Chinese branch. “With full support from TRACE32, engineers can develop their applications from the ground up using our market-leading debugging and trace solutions.”
“Lauterbach has long been recognized as a leading solution for debugging and trace analysis in complex embedded systems,” says Qiang Du, President and CTO from Neusoft Reach. “Neusoft Reach is committed to building a unified and scalable software foundation for intelligent vehicles with NeuSAR. Through the integration of NeuSAR with TRACE32®, developers gain enhanced system visibility and improved efficiency in developing and validating safety-critical applications, accelerating the evolution of intelligent vehicles in the AI era.”
For the first time, this solution will be showcased at Auto China 2026, the international auto exhibition in Beijing, at the Neusoft Reach booth, running on both NXP’s S32 platform including the NXP CoreRide Z248 Zonal Reference System and Infineon’s TC4 platform.
