Im ersten Quartal 2011 nutzten fast 80 % der österreichischen Bevölkerung das Internet. Mehr als 60 % der Internetuser suchten dabei online nach Anbietern von Gütern und Dienstleistungen. Wie der Bericht von yStats.com deutlich zeigt, ist die Internetdurchdringung in Österreich höher als in den MOEL (Mittel- und Osteuropäische Länder).

Mobiles Internet liegt im Trend
Mehr als 40 % der österreichischen Bevölkerung kauften im Jahr 2010 online ein. Die Zahl der Österreicher, die das Internet über ihr Handy nutzten, lag nach dem "Austria B2C E-Commerce Report 2011" von yStats.com im Jahr 2010 bei mehr als 10 % - über dem EU-Durchschnitt von 7 %.
