100 Years of Ypsotec

(PresseBox) ( Grenchen, )
What began by establishing the Décolletage AG company 100 years ago and was continued from 1994 as a company within the Disetronic/Ypsomed Group is now Ypsotec: an internationally operating and successful vendor in the fields of precision engineering and medical technology with over 160 employees in Europe. Ypsotec AG will be celebrating its long and successful company history at a number of events.

Over the past 100 years, Ypsotec has undergone a variety of technical developments, integrated these in its work processes and continuously advanced the company. One example of many is the introduction of CNC machines during the 1980s. Over these 100 years, Ypsotec has asserted itself in a highly competitive market and strengthened its position. Ypsotec realised early on that not everything can be manufactured in Switzerland. Eleven years ago, the company already set up a second facility in the Czech Republic. Today, this strategy is paying dividends. With its highly professional production facilities in Grenchen and Tábor, Czechia, Ypsotec is in a position of meeting all customer needs efficiently at best pricebenefit ratios and with on-time delivery.

The official 100 year celebrations will be held on 10 June 2016 together with 100 representatives from politics, associations, customers and suppliers. A special mention goes to the contributions of Councillor Esther Gassler, the Mayor of Grenchen, François Scheidegger, the Director of the Solothurn Chamber of Commerce, Daniel Probst, as well as Angela Kummer, Director of the Art & History Museum. On Saturday 11 June 2016, Ypsotec will hold an Open Day for all interested persons.
