wpd’s offshore project Baltic I (21x2,5 MW Nordex N90) 15km north of the island Darß in the German Baltic Sea is proceeding as planned towards the construction in 2009:
wpd has chosen Ballast Nedam as preferred contractor for the project’s foundations.Ballast Nedam will be responsible for the foundations’ design and supply as well as the installation with their heavy lifting vessel "Svanen". An Agreement regarding time schedule and reservation of long-lead items has been signed last week. Construction is scheduled for the First of January 2009.
