Wolters Kluwer Financial Services, the leading worldwide provider of compliance and risk management solutions for the financial services industry, has hired two key financial experts to help lead its recently announced business expansion in Germany. Hans Willi Hüsch joins the company as Program Manager and Werner Maislinger has been named Regional Sales Director.

Together with Mark Coronna, Managing Director of Wolters Kluwer Financial Services- Europe, Hüsch and Maislinger will shape Wolters Kluwer Financial Services' strategy for entering the German financial services market, while working with financial organisations to help them meet various regulatory requirements in the areas of risk, compliance, and internal audit.

Hüsch has more than 23 years experience in financial services and information technology. Among others, he worked for the Wincor Nixdorf Banking Division Germany. "Increasing regulatory pressure is not only a rising burden for financial service professionals, but may also offer some opportunities. According to international experience of Wolters Kluwer Financial Services, continuous improvement processes within the company regarding risk and compliance priorities open up additional, sustainable profitability reserves", says Hüsch.

His colleague Maislinger adds: "Wolters Kluwer provides a unique service to compliance & risk officers by offering the combination of regulatory content with sophisticated workflow solutions. We help our customers in the implementation of regulatory requirements, such as international shareholding disclosure, Basel II and Solvency II." Maislinger has a strong international background in the field of financial information and software solutions. Past employers include Thomson Reuters, Thomson Financial and Bloomberg.

"Hans and Werner's extensive experience in financial services, regulatory compliance and technology will be invaluable to German financial services organisations as we work to help them in the development of their individual risk and compliance management", said Coronna.
