Worldwide communication - anywhere and at any time - has come within reach thanks to Web-Service, Remote-Service and Web-Training, the innovative, ITassisted services provided by Wittmann Battenfeld. With this comprehensive training and service program, Wittmann Battenfeld helps its customers to save time and money. From October 14 to 18, visitors to this year's Fakuma in Friedrichshafen will be able to take a closer look at these services at the service corner of the Wittmann Battenfeld booth (hall B1, booth 1204).

Wittmann Battenfeld is a pioneer in offering comprehensive, IT-assisted services to the injection molding industry. The Wittmann Battenfeld Web-Service marks the beginning of a new era in customer support. Through an Internet connection between the customer's machine and the service engineer, the machine's servicing requirements can be analysed without delay and at low cost. Networking between injection molding machines and corporate PC workplaces has been made possible by Remote-Service. This is the most innovative and cost-efficient solution on the injection molding market for inhouse production monitoring, remote diagnostics and quality assurance. Web-Training ensures maximum flexibility and cost optimization in staff training.

Web-Service - the new generation in customer support

Wittmann Battenfeld's proven global Teleservice network, to which about 700 machines are connected, has been upgraded by Web-Service, which provides an interactive function for the Unilog B6 control system.
With the customer's consent, experienced service engineers are able to contact the machine directly via the Internet. A considerable proportion of servicing can thus be carried out quickly by way of remote diagnostics, which saves having to call in a service engineer. On-site service and spare parts deliveries still required can be arranged and carried out more efficiently. Long-term productivity and conservation of value of manufacturing equipment can thus be assured at reasonable cost.

Remote-Service - the most reasonably priced network on the market

The new remote visualization program from Wittmann Battenfeld allows networking of injection molding machines and PC workplaces in production facilities without Internet connection. Remote-Service supports injection molders in all important production steps, such as monitoring of the machine, diagnostics, quality assurance and process optimization.
The machine is connected to the network by Ethernet. Once the Remote-Service tool has been installed, it can be contacted via the corporate network. Other locations or home PCs included in the corporate network can also be connected to the machine. Screen pages from the machine's control system can be viewed simultaneously with the operation of the control system, so that the production process is not disturbed.

Web-Training - the new benchmark in staff training

The new Web-Training program from Wittmann Battenfeld provides an unconventional learning environment. The virtual training centre insures more flexibility in basic and advanced training of company staff, independent of time and place. The corporate production process is hardly affected by a two-hour training session. This means that complex shift planning has become a thing of the past.

After making an appointment, customers can now take part in online training sessions with competent teachers and in discussions with experts. The basic training curriculum includes the subjects of machine design, control system, process technology and core pull programming. The content and main subjects of the training program can be individually adapted to customers' requirements.
Subjects and dates of the next Web-Training seminars are listed directly on the company's homepage under

The aim of these new IT-assisted services is to give customers a decisive competitive edge by optimizing maintenance and servicing of the machines, as well as providing a comprehensive training program.
