Einen Einblick in die Automobilregion der US-Südstaaten, konkret Alabama und South Carolina, mit Chancen zu Kooperationen und Investitionsmöglichkeiten will die Wirtschaftsförderung Sachsen (WFS) im Rahmen einer Unternehmerreise für Automobilzulieferer vom 28. Oktober bis 4. November 2007 geben. Anmeldungen sind bis zum 6. Juli 2007 möglich.

Geplant sind Werksbesuche bei BMW in Spartanburg und Mercedes Benz US International, dem International Centre for Automotive Research (ICAR) sowie Gespräche mit lokalen Zulieferern. Individuelle Einzeltermine sind möglich, die WFS ist für Wünsche und Vorschläge offen. Der Teilnahmebetrag für die Reise beträgt 420 Euro netto.
